• Life cycle costs philosophy of the vehicles (LCC)

• Information systems – rationalizing and optimization  models of maintenance and service more effective systems

• Problems of definition and extension guarantee – guarantee period, free service, lifetime (as parts of quality, marketing and business success)

• Range of transport technologies – logistical strings and traffic safety problematic solving

• Modeling and simulation of transport and technological systems by the help of discrete elements

• Definition of basic conditions for operating safety, which determinate aspects of vehicles operational reliability escalation (RAMS)

• Analysis and setting of railway vehicles operational parameters

• Measurement of engine output when draw forces or is stable (Cylindrical power bench Maha LPS 2000)

• Diagnostic electronic and other systems in the motor vehicles (Control unit tester Atal AT 520)

• Emission controlling of ignition possibly compression ignition engine (Exhaust gas analyzer Atal AT 501)

• Monitoring behaviour of the transport participants from the view of transport safety using video - apparatus

• Measuring speed of the transport participants using radar Viacount II
• Monitoring and analysis of the traffic flows in road transport (structure of the traffic flow, speed, intensity, density, time losses, smoothness, input times, critical and consequent gaps etc.)
• Measuring and evaluating transport characteristics in passengers’ public transport (as a part of optimisation studies)
   

Realized outputs:

• Development of passenger railway vehicles and their nodes with focus on life cycle costs optimalization. VŠB-TU Ostrava for ČKD Vagonka Ostrava, grant MPO ČR, 2002 – 2004.

• Set of technical, transcription and organizational changes, which lead to quality upgrade and railway vehicles service streamline and will be guarantee of their required operational reliability. DFJP University of Pardubice and ID VŠB-TU Ostrava for ČD a. s., 2002 – 2004.

• Study of vehicles valuation procedure. ID VŠB-TU Ostrava for ČD a. s., 2003.

• Study of chosen Vectra tram and tram train vehicle problems, University of Pardubice for Škoda Dopravní technika Plzeň, s. r. o., 2004

• Grant problem-solving of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic "Funding Methods Proposal for Transport Services"
• Grant FRVŠ (High school development fond) "Study multimedia material for Organization and transport managing seminars" (2005).
• Remark’s to the Act. No. 361/2000, about road traffic operation. Material was rendered to Ministry of transport Czech Republic.
